Our organization was founded in May of 2009 based on the belief that early childhood educators are to be honored, respected, and nurtured. The field of early childhood education and care can be incredibly rewarding but if we're being honest, it's full of stressors as well. As current and former educators, we know that in order to provide the highest quality experiences for children, teachers must have many different "tools in their toolbox". Additionally, it is key that the people responsible for operating the overall program have a variety of different but equally important tools.
We strive to provide trainings for all who care for and educate young children.

enlightening, fun, and leave a lasting impression
with the professionals who participate.
Story of Us : Our Professional Journey
Candice and Kristy go "way back"; they are sisters who have both found their passion in working with young children, families, and the professionals who take care of them. Although our careers have gone in different directions, we have always focused on the importance of early education and care. Our partnership feels natural to us, and the participants who attend our workshops agree wholeheartedly. We are not one in the same and actually respectfully disagree on many points. That is perhaps one of the best parts of attending one of our trainings; you are sure to be engaged in an intelligent and thoughtful discussion about the issues facing teachers, directors, children, and families.
Marlana became our third "sister" after developing a friendship that began when were all working for the same child care corporation. Although our careers have taken us on somewhat different paths, we have formed a bond that will likely last a lifetime. Marlana has officially joined The Teacher's Toolbox although she really has been on the sidelines all along, thankfully! She has a lot of insight
The Teacher's Toolbox is now a stronger organization that boasts a team of facilitators with more than 45 years of experience working with children, families, and the professionals who nurture them. No matter which workshop you choose and who is facilitating the session, you are guaranteed to benefit from our experience and knowledge base.
